While the competiton phones in their carbon rim designs, we’re busy creating innovative rim designs that make an actual difference on the trail. Five years of continual development and refinement have led to the Arch CB7's RiACT radial impact absorbing technology. Unlike lesser carbon rims that ride stiff and transfer impacts and vibration to the suspension and rider, the special layup and shape of the Arch CB7 deflects up to 10mm radially to soak up speed-robbing impacts, all while being laterally stiffer than just about every other carbon and alloy rim on the planet. The result is a rim that defies pinch flats and rolls faster over every trail.

Arch CB7 rims also feature Stan’s patented Bead Socket Technology, the original tubeless-ready rim design that, combined with our sealant, has become the foundation of all current tubeless-ready systems. Stan's No Tubes RiACT Rim Design

Everyone knows carbon fiber can create a stiff wheel. We knew it could do much more. The carbon fiber rims on our CB7 series wheelsets are 30% stiffer laterally than our legendary aluminum rims, but the key to their outstanding ride quality is Radial Impact Absorbing Carbon Technology. Obsessive attention to the shape of the rim and a proprietary carbon fiber lay-up process lets us create carbon rims that absorb radial vibrations and impacts while maintaining lateral stiffness, keeping your wheels driving constantly forward with less energy loss than other carbon rims. Originally developed for or highly successful Valor rim, RiACT offers added strength, less rolling resistance, and the best ride of any carbon rim. On our Podium SRD wheelset, RiACT lets us create a rim that's lighter than the competition while also being stronger. Our carbon rims can deflect 7-10mm without damage or pinch flatting.
