About Shimano
Shimano is a Japanese multinational corporation synonymous with cycling. Constituting 50% of sales in the global cycling market, and with their parts spanning across all types of bicycle, it is a highly reputable business that is constantly developing and innovating its assets.
Details
Shimano GRX, with its gravel specific ergonomics, optimised gearing options, rugged reliability, and quiet and stable drivetrain, sets itself apart from the rest of the component world.
The GRX RS717 brake lever (For Di2) is a left-only brake lever option that pairs perfectly with a right ST-RX715 Dual Control Lever thanks to its matching shape and ergonomics. Skipping all the shifting electronics, it's a lighter, simpler left brake lever option for times when less is more.
The GRX BR-RX410 disc brake caliper brings a new level of control to gravel cycling with enhanced modulation and a quicker initial braking point. And despite its smaller construction, the system is quieter and easier to maintain.
Technology
Dual Control Lever
DCL stands for Dual Control Lever. It has brake and shifting functions in the system and enables easy operation.
Ergonomic innovation is probably more critical to the higher standard performance than the added gearing. The shift internals borrow the robustness from Shimano's MTB technology and are so smooth and effortless that one finger shifts front and rear are possible. Indeed, shifting is the ultimate act of Shimano Total Integration, and simply has to be experienced to be understood.
Shifting Lever Integrated With Brake Lever. Recommended For Road Bikes.:
The shifting lever is integrated with a brake lever. There are two levers, one large and one small. To upshift, use the small inner lever. To downshift, operate the large outer lever.

Brake lever is equipped with a reach adjust mechanism. The distance from handlebar grip to lever can be adjusted to suit any hand size, type of riding and individual rider preferences.
Benefits & Features:
- Lever reach adjustment
- Easy shifting and braking by the best lever position

One Way Bleeding
"One Way Bleeding" was developed for quick and easy prevention of air in Shimano's hydraulic system. Shimano have streamlined the oil route throughout the system to prevent air bubbles from being captured in the system.
One way oil routing plus a funnel tool with mineral oil provides an easy and clean bleeding system.
Features
- Shimano GRX hydraulic disc brake levers give you control, modulation and power with minimal effort in all riding conditions
- Raised hood head prevents hand misalignment and slippage
- Simple set up and maintenance with easy and clean one way bleeding system
- Contains BL-RS717 left hand brake lever and BR-RX410 rear brake caliper, with hose
