The Legendary All-rounder for Enduro and Downhill Bikes

Magic Mary is the all-round tyre for all mountain bikers who prioritise performance, fun, and safety on the descent. Whether you need reliable grip on the downhill track, in the bike park, or on your home trail, it delivers - trustworthy and predictable. In addition to enduro and downhill bikes, it also performs well on e-MTBs, trail, and all-mountain bikes. Changing conditions and surfaces? With Magic Mary, you’ll get through them controlled and fast!

One Tread for All Trails

You’ll find the distinctive Mary tyre tread on the world’s most famous trails. As an intermediate tyre, Magic Mary has an open tread with knobs that bite into soft ground but also provide reliable grip on hardpack. The large, angled, and solidly supported side knobs offer plenty of cornering grip. The centre knobs support you with braking traction and are angled to roll more easily. On closer inspection, you’ll notice small slits on the knobs. These V-grooves, developed specifically for Magic Mary, ensure the knobs interlock even better with the trail surface.

Countless Successes in The Mountain Bike World Cup

The Schwalbe Magic Mary is the go-to tyre for top athletes in the downhill and enduro World Cup. Amaury Pierron, Myriam Nicole, Stevie Smith, Tahnee Seagrave, Camille Balanche, Danny Hart, and many others have ridden it all the way to the podium (And beyond). But even if you’re not competing at the world’s highest level, Magic Mary will determinedly get you to your goal.

Schwalbe's newly developed Gravity Pro construction offers you the most robust casing with the best puncture protection for tougher use or heavier bikes - combined with the advantages of radial. As the Pro version, it features the latest technologies for maximum performance: an additional casing layer provides extra stability and further enhanced puncture protection. Additionally, Schwalbe's Apex delivers maximum puncture protection thanks to extra fabric reinforcement.

Moreover, you can enjoy the benefits of radial: more grip, more cushioning, more safety. How does that work? The casing threads are woven at a blunter angle. This ensures the tyre can conform better to the ground at specific points and has a larger contact area on the trail. This results in more grip, more cushioning, and more safety. Technology

Gravity Pro

For full focus on gravity and maximum stability, Gravity Pro is exactly the right choice. With the latest technologies for maximum performance and classic carcass construction: the right choice when minimal rolling resistance and maximum puncture protection are the focus and you want to forgo the advantages of radial.

Radial Carcass

The carcass material overlaps for a shorter time and with less tension. As a result, the tyre deforms more selectively and can react much more flexibly and adaptably to unevenness without sacrificing the safety factor. The tyre absorbs impact much better and uses the suspension travel more effectively. It literally sucks itself into the ground, this applies to both mountain bikes and E-MTBs. Plus radial tyres offer approximately 30% more contact area than conventional tyres at the same air pressure.

Addix Ultra Soft

For hardcore use in enduro and downhill. Sensationally good damping has been further improved over the previous VertStar compound, while at the same time Addix Ultrasoft is suitable for all-weather use due to significantly improved low-temperature properties when it comes to grip and damping.

Features

  • World Cup proven tread: trusted by elite downhill and enduro athletes including Amaury Pierron, Myriam Nicole and Tahnee Seagrave for podium-level performance
  • Confident cornering: large angled side knobs bite firmly into the trail surface for reliable grip and control through corners on loose and mixed terrain
  • Versatile intermediate tread: open tread pattern works across soft ground and hardpack, making it a genuine do-it-all tyre for changing trail conditions
  • V-groove technology: proprietary slits on the knobs allow them to interlock more precisely with the trail surface for sharper feedback and improved bite
  • Efficient braking traction: centre knobs are angled to provide strong braking grip while rolling more freely between braking zones
  • Broad compatibility: equally at home on enduro, downhill, trail, all-mountain and E-MTB setups, front or rear
  • Gravity Pro construction: built for gravity-oriented setups and frequent downhill runs, delivering maximum stability and puncture protection where it matters most
  • Sustainable materials: uses recycled carbon black from Schwalbe's own tyre recycling programme, cutting CO2 equivalent emissions by 80% compared to conventional carbon black
  • Fair Rubber: Pro versions use fairly traded natural rubber; Schwalbe pays a premium directly to certified smallholders to support fair compensation and improved living conditions
