About Schwalbe
For over 70 years Schwalbe have dominated the two wheeled tyres industry in Europe. Based in Germany, Schwalbe tyres have won some of the World’s biggest races and stages across disciplines from mountain biking to triathlon, stage racing to cyclocross.
Details
Designed for cyclists who demand optimal tyre performance, the Schwalbe AirMax Smart Bike Sensor delivers real-time pressure data and alerts via Bluetooth or ANT+, ideal for road, gravel, and MTB setups.
Compact and lightweight at just 11g, the AirMax sensor integrates seamlessly with SV tubeless valves, threaded SV tubes, and Schwalbe Clik Valves. It continuously monitors tyre pressure and temperature, transmitting data to the Schwalbe app or compatible head units. A built-in LED warning function adds an extra layer of safety, alerting users to pressure drops before performance or handling is compromised. With a maximum pressure rating of 10 Bar, it suits everything from high-pressure road tyres to lower-pressure tubeless MTB setups.
Mounting
The TPMS (Tyre pressure monitoring system) is simply mounted on the valve of your bike tyre. In addition, you need the AirMax app. This is available for download in all major app stores. With the app you can set the appropriate air pressure for your front and rear wheel. If you do not know the correct tyre pressure, you can calculate this individually for you with the help of the Schwalbe Pressure Prof directly in the app.
Connect
After you have activated the two AirMax sensors, make sure you have Bluetooth enabled on your smartphone. Now you can easily pair the two sensors in the AirMax app. Make sure you assign the correct IDs to the front and rear wheel. It's best to use the lower ID number for the front wheel and the higher one for the rear wheel.
Get Started
As soon as both sensors are paired, you can see in the app and from the LED light on the sensor whether the correct tyre pressure is set. When the LED lights up green, you're ready to go! From now on, the two AirMax sensors continuously check the air pressure of your tyres in real time, so you can enjoy your ride without worries. In the event of a loss of air pressure, the app warns you on your smartphone so that you can react immediately and check the cause.
