Ridgeback Terrain 2027 Bike

The Ridgeback Terrain is an entry-level hardtail mountain bike for riders taking their first steps off-road. A lightweight 6061 aluminium frame, a 100mm Suntour suspension fork, Shimano hydraulic disc brakes and wide 2.4" Maxxis tyres give it the control and grip for local trails, bridleways and everyday riding alike.

Wheel size is matched to frame size: 27.5-inch wheels on the X-Small and Small frames and 29-inch wheels on the Medium, Large and X-Large, so every rider gets wheels in proportion to their bike. A 66-degree head angle and generous tyre clearance keep it stable and composed once the tarmac runs out.

The hard-wearing Shimano CUES 9-Speed drivetrain pairs a 32T chainring with a wide-range 11-46T cassette, giving plenty of low gears for steep climbs without complication, while Shimano MT-200 hydraulic disc brakes with 180mm front and 160mm rear rotors give consistent, progressive stopping on wet and loose ground.

Mudguard and rear rack mounts and an integrated kickstand plate let the Terrain double as a commuter or town bike, and its frame and fork carry a lifetime warranty.
