The Ridgeback Panorama is the flagship of Ridgeback's trekking range, a touring bike designed with a purpose and built to last. Whether it is the commute through a grey Tuesday morning or a loaded tour along the coast-to-coast, it is made for riders who are already planning the long way round.
It starts with a butted Reynolds 725 chromoly steel frame, a material serious tourers have trusted for decades because it absorbs road vibration, carries a load gracefully and can be repaired almost anywhere in the world. The geometry is relaxed enough for an all-day ride yet precise enough to respond crisply when the road demands it, and drop handlebars give a choice of hand positions over long distances.
A Shimano CUES 2x9-Speed drivetrain, designed for trekking and everyday use, puts durability and easy maintenance first. The wide 46-30T chainset with an 11-39T cassette gives a genuine low gear for loaded climbs, while staying quick enough for the main-road miles in between, and TRP Spyre-C mechanical disc brakes give consistent stopping in all conditions.
Busch & Müller dynamo lighting front and rear, powered by a Shimano DH-3D32 hub, keeps you visible without ever needing a charge: a Briq-S T Senso headlight (60 lux, with a standlight) and a Toplight 2C rear light. An AtranVelo AVS rear rack (27kg limit) and an AtranVelo Explorer front rack come fitted, AVS panniers and bags attach and detach in seconds without tools, and puncture-resistant Vittoria Randonneur 700 x 40c tyres, full-length mudguards and an AtranVelo Parko HV kickstand complete the bike. The frame and fork carry a lifetime warranty.
