Built for triathlon!
The Tardiz 2 is the modern interpretation of the classic Lazer triathlon helmet.
It's still built around the same values: aerodynamic and ventilation. The narrow droplike shape and small frontal area provide the most aerodynamic shape, while the dimpled rear surface helps traps air pockets to improve the airflow over and around the helmet. Everything combined creates a helmet that will get you to the finish line faster! Comfort is not compromised and the Tardiz 2 is still perfect for many hours in the saddle. It features the ATS fit system for comfortable size adjustments, the Aquavent for instant cooling and an open front area that is eyewear friendly. The Aquavent is a hydration port on the top of the helmet that is easily accessible. Just use your water bottle to squirt water through a spring loaded port, directly onto the head, for instant cooling. No matter how hot it gets, the Tardiz 2 will keep you cool and performing at top level. When additional aerodynamic performance is required, the Aquavent can also be replaced with a closed off version. Built for Triathlon!
Technologies
Lazer Turnfit® Plus System
TS+ prevents any hotspots or pressure points by making the adjustment around the entire circumference of the head. The TS+ is used on mid-level road, mountain bike, recreational, and kids helmet models.
Adjustable Head Basket
The Adjustable Head Basket allows the back section of the retention system to be adjusted up or down, changing the verticle size of the helmet depending upon the rider’s preferences towards comfort.
Aerodynamic Performance
Computer designed, wind tunnel tested and race proven to provide maximum aerodynamic performance.
Aquavent
Aquavent is a spring loaded cap on the top surface of the helmet. Using the tip of your water bottle to push the cap open, Aquavent allows for water to be dispersed from the bottle directly over your head for evaporative cooling when temperatures are at their highest.
Eyewear Friendly
The front of the helmet and ear pads are an open design to allow for the use of any eyewear without interference or disturbance to the helmet fit.
Dimpled Tail Construction
The rear of the helmet has a dimpled design similar to that of a golf ball. This creates a thin turbulent boundary layer of air that clings to the helmet's surface. This allows the smoothly flowing air to follow the helmet's surface a little farther around the tail of the helmet, thereby decreasing the size of the wake and reducing drag.
