The M2 XL has a high periphery lens which means your field of view won't be blocked by the frame with your head down on the road bike, and there will be no distortion by looking through the lower edge of the lens when visually assessing the ground.
These glasses use the Prizm Road lens optimised for high contrast visual feedback specifically on the tarmac. Pebbles and cracks are more noticeable, and the glare from slick zones is reduced significantly, if not completely.
