Oakley is the brand for high-performance, unsurpassed eye protection for lifestyle and sport. Offering various extensively-developed technologies such as Prizm lenses and anti-slip Unobtanium rubber contact points, and with discipline-specific models spanning across cycling, snow, motor, field and water sports, there is an Oakley eyepiece just for you.
The Jawbreaker is a technical piece of equipment designed for versatile athletes. Full coverage with anti-fog ventilation, high grip nose and arm pads, rapid and secure lens interchangeability, and a solid resilient frame.
These glasses are fitted with a Prizm Trail lens optimised to heighten the contrast of greys browns and greens of off-road terrain. Rocks, roots and ruts are more distinguishable, and glare is reduced to ease eye strain and prevent dazzling from water surfaces, which could prove hazardous if persevered with.
Additionally this model is finished with the limited edition Retina Burn colourway - a opaque neon yellow and grey combo reserved for select models, which is sure to stand out in a peloton photo.
Features:
- Prizm Lens Technology
- Extended field of view in the upper peripheral region to optimize for cycling
- Unobtanium® earsocks and nosepads keep glasses in place, increasing grip despite perspiration
- Switchlock™ interchangeable lens technology makes lens changing lenses fast and secure
- Patented High Definition Optics® (HDO®) provides superior optical clarity and razor-sharp vision at every angle
HD Polarized:
Glare sucks, whatever you're doing - Cycling, golfing, surfing, running, skiing… It can make you apprehensive, frustrated, and oblivious to imminent dangers such as potholes and rocks. Oakley's lenses are infusion molded as a single layer to eliminate the need for glues or films which may accentuate glare. Additionally, Oakley dual lenses are manufactured side by side then separated for perfect axial alignment to optimize the effectiveness of the filter. Individually manufactured lenses are likely to have a small degree of deviation, and as small as that may or may not be, it isn't perfect - this simply isn't good enough for Oakley.
Prizm Technology:
Prizm technology has been developed through fine tuning colour wavelengths observed in different real-world environments to give you the crispest image possible, with every nuance and surface imperfection exposed in high contrast. It accentuates lit areas and deepens shadows so even the smallest detail can be clearly spotted from much further away when compared to the naked eye. There's Prizm specifically developed for road, mountain, snow, field sports, deep and shallow water, motocross, and everyday use - Innovational eyewear in its truest form.
UV Radiation Protection:
It's invisible, but it literally hits your corneas and retinas at the speed of light. UV damage has been known to build up over time without the right eye protection, leading to ailments such as cataracts and Pterygium. You don't know it's happening until symptoms begin to show, so the best solution if you happen to be regularly exposed is a piece of high quality eyewear such as this, which uses a proprietary Plutonite lens to inherently cancel 100% of UV rays whilst simultaneously allowing the full visible spectrum to pass through.
Impact Protection:
Oakley's lenses are tested against unnecessarily high-mass and high-velocity objects to guarantee unmatched eye protection when out in the field. Their proprietary Plutonite compound used in all their lenses is exceptionally durable and pliable, whilst retaining the unmatched clarity and radiation filtering qualities you would expect from such performance eyewear.
Switchlock Technology:
Many Oakley models use Switchlock Technology to allow the right lens to be applied rapidly whenever necessary. With different lenses optimized for trail, road, open water and more, you can find the perfect filter to go about your duties without visual compromise. This is also a useful feature which eliminates the need to replace the entire product, should the lens acquire a nasty scratch or chip.
