ISM (Ideal Saddle Modification) was founded in 1997. Following another painful bike ride, owner Steve sketched out a design for a seat to reduce discomfort from a traditional seat. ISM seats have Ironman wins, Olympic medals, and many podiums.

NEW design and shape for 2026. We focused on making this seat longer and wider than other PR styles, but still maintained the same comfortable padding for which the PR namesake is known. The PR4.0 has increased foam padding at the sit bones for added comfort and a relief channel that extends the entire length of the saddle. At 150mm wide, the PR4.0 is our widest performance seat and is the most padded saddle we've brought to market. The PR 4.0 is perfect for century rides, gravel grinding, commuting or an evening spin around the neighborhood. Like all ISM saddles, the PR 4.0 is nose-less and designed to remove pressure from the soft tissue/perineum, ensuring maximum blood flow, no genital numbness, and a healthy and enjoyable ride.
