The Hope R22 Shimano E-Bike Spiderless Retainer Chainring mounts directly to a Shimano EP8 or E8000 motor, replacing the full spider assembly for a lighter, cleaner set-up. The extra power an e-bike motor puts through the drivetrain is the ultimate test of a chainring, so Hope designed their direct mount e-bike rings specifically to withstand it, machining each one in a single piece from billet 7075-T6 aluminium and hard anodising it for a long service life.
R22 Tooth Profile
An asymmetric narrow/wide tooth profile works with all the major drivetrains from 9 to 12-speed, SRAM T-Type and Shimano HG+ included. It holds the chain without a chain device, sheds mud, copes with the extreme chain angles of a modern 1x drivetrain and tolerates more chain wear before shifting suffers.
