Details
Inspired by the premium Rev Pro and Rev Elite helmets, the Rev Comp combines maximum ventilation and comfort with certified protection and sleek, modern looks. Featuring 18 wide, head-cooling channels, an integrated MIPS Evolve Core low-friction layer, and four-position rear height adjustment, it's the perfect budget-conscious choice for performance-minded riders.
Technology
MIPS Evolve Core
MIPS Evolve Core is designed to add protection in helmets against the rotational motion. The rotational motion is a combination of rotational energy (Angular velocity) and rotational forces (From angular acceleration) that both affects the brain and increases the risk for minor and severe brain injuries. MIPS has been scientifically proven to reduce rotational motion when implemented in a helmet by absorbing and redirecting rotational energies and forces transferred to the brain.
Virginia Tech 4 Star Rating
In collaboration with the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the Virginia Tech Helmet lab tests helmets using the STAR evaluation system. The impact tests evaluate a helmet's ability to reduce linear acceleration and rotational velocity of the head resulting from a range of impacts a cyclist might experience. Helmets with more stars provide a reduction in concussion risk for these impacts, with 4 and 5 star ratings being the most highly recommended.
