Energy-Saving Ramp

Ideally supported in steeper terrain. The SM E-Mountain Women significantly improves your seated position while climbing. The steeply rising ramp at the rear gives you a stable, effort-saving hold when climbing uphill. The saddle nose is particularly wide and comfortable, as the seat position often shifts forward in extremely steep sections.

Tailor-Made Relief

Women's specific pressure relief. After intensive research and evaluation of feedback from our test riders, the tapered relief channel of the SM-Women saddles has been placed further forward. This adjustment is made to accommodate women’s pelvic anatomy, biomechanics, and sensitive soft tissue, ensuring that all pressure is relieved towards the front.

OrthoCell® Inlays

Even better than gel. The new OrthoCell® material helps you achieve optimal performance without discomfort. These inlays, which are more durable and lighter than gel, ensure the best pressure distribution and provide the highest rebound force, following the movements of the pelvis with every pedal stroke and quickly returning to their original position.

Orthopedic Foam

Comfortable and durable. The orthopedic foam, combined with OrthoCell® inlays, provides superior pressure distribution and vibration damping. It is especially ergonomic for mountain biking while remaining durable and supportive.

Anti-Friction Side Flanks

Less friction, more movement. Anti-friction side flanks have been added to the SM-E Mountain saddle, reducing friction from the thighs while pedaling and allowing more freedom of movement.

Completely New Design

The Ergon developers have taken a completely new approach to women's mountain bike saddles. Through intensive research, including X-ray and CT analysis, and feedback from professional and recreational riders, they have developed a new generation of comfort for women.

Pelvic Flexibility

Women often rock forward more on an MTB due to increased pelvic and hip flexibility, causing considerable pressure in the genital area. The SM Women is designed to support a woman's wider and more forward-rocked bony structures, alleviating sensitive soft tissue with a tapered cut-out.

The Deep Pubic Symphysis

Women’s pubic symphysis (anterior cartilage connection between the two halves of the pelvis) is lower than in men, with a larger angle between the pubic bones. The SM Women saddle takes this into account to prevent discomfort in sensitive areas.

The Sensitive Genital Area

Due to pelvic characteristics, women have often experienced discomfort on standard saddles. The SM E-Mountain Women alleviates pressure in the sensitive soft tissue area with a tapered relief channel, preventing numbness and pain. This design better distributes body weight towards the sit bones, allowing for a more comfortable forward-rocked position.

The Right Size

The shape and size of the saddle must match the sit bone width of the rider for maximum comfort. The pelvis's unique V-shape requires a saddle that provides a large contact surface and adapts to various sitting positions. The more forward and aggressive the riding position, the further forward the sit bones contact the saddle.
