A truly great bike is greater than the sum of its parts. And when the parts in question are this good, you know you're onto something special. For the Stereo ONE22 HPC EX 29 we started with Fox's superb 34 Float Factory GRIP2 fork, then paired it with a Float X Factory shock at the rear for the ultimate in floaty, trail-taming control. Shimano's legendarily precise and reliable XT 1 x 12 gears and smooth, powerful hydraulic disc brakes take care of go and stop duties. There's a dropper post and a super-light Praxis Girder Carbon crank. And we fitted a grippy Maxxis Minion EXO tyre combo so you can hook up to the trail with confidence. Feel the difference? The Stereo ONE22 sets the bar for comfortable trail bikes pretty high. The Stereo ONE22 HPC moves it higher still by incorporating a light, stiff and elegant carbon front triangle for reduced weight and even better handling. The short rocker, covered pivot bearings and efficient kinematics deliver superb traction, comfort and control. There's a tapered head tube and Boost 148 rear axle for precision handling. And our Agile Trail Geometry always has your back, so you can keep the rubber side down and the fun factor up.

Features

Our Efficient Trail Control series works in the background so that everyone can have more fun on the trail. A low leverage ratio and linear compression rate are the technical way of saying that these bikes are very sensitive to trail obstacles, whilst remaining insensitive to pedal-induced bob and giving a full range of travel.

With our Advanced Twin Mold process we use two precisely manufactured forms for our C:62, C:68 and C:68X carbon frames. The first form is to ensure an accurate layup. The second, inner form keeps every individual fibre precisely where it needs to be while the frame cures. The result is a significantly lighter, stronger frame, with fibre density tailored to anticipated loadings at specific points.

Agile Trail Geometry is a development of our popular and well received Agile Ride Geometry, with a focus on riders who enjoy pushing their limits on the trails. By lowering standover height and allowing more room for the rider to move around over the bike, we've created a setup that rewards adventurous line choices. Because, after all, it's all about having fun.

A wider hub makes a stiffer wheel, and a stiffer wheel means better handling. That's the thinking behind the Boost 148 rear hub standard, which allows wider flange spacing for better wheel performance without impacting on shifting accuracy or drivetrain efficiency. Simply put, you can go faster and harder with better handling and stronger wheels.

HPC - high performance carbon - enables us to build lighter, stronger and stiffer frames out of this incredibly versatile material. Using a combination of careful frame design and variable lay-up thickness, we're able to fine-tune the performance of each frame to precisely meet our requirements for weight, stiffness, strength and durability.
