(Almost) no limits: with its 800 Wh battery, powerful and quiet Bosch motor and cunning Cube frame design, the Reaction Hybrid ONE 8 is the go-anywhere mountain bike to take on any ride. Across town, into the countryside or over the hills and far away, let your curiosity guide you.

If you've ever wondered where that path you've never ridden goes, we have the bike with which to find out. With its high-capacity 8 Wh battery and quiet, powerful Bosch motor, the Reaction Hybrid ONE 8 gives you the freedom to explore. Smooth-shifting Shimano Cues 1-speed gears help make light work of any route - even hilly ones. To make life on the trail - and city streets - a little more comfortable, we fitted a suspension fork with 12mm of travel (1mm for small frame sizes and for all Easy Entry models). And, to help keep you safe, there's a set of powerful hydraulic disc brakes that are designed to bring you safely to a stop, no matter the conditions.

We specialise in really neat frame design, and the Reaction Hybrid is no exception. With the 8 Wh PowerTube battery neatly concealed and the Bosch CX drive housed securely, its svelte lines disguise lots of clever features. It's PowerMore-ready, making it easy to add up to 25 Wh of extra battery capacity. The integrated seat clamp and cable routing complement the clean aesthetic, whilst a UDH gear hanger makes it as future-proof as possible. There's a built-in chainguide mount too, and it's also ready to accept Acid mudguards. And, with Size Split, it's easy to find the perfect fit for every rider. We've thought of everything, so you can just ride.

Features

The Fully Integrated Battery system tucks the power of Bosch's battery out of sight, safely inside the confines of your bike's downtube. Hidden beneath a splash and dust-proof cover and secured with a lock to prevent theft, it allows us to design beautiful E-Bike frames that are as brilliantly functional as they are good to look at.

Accessories like a kickstand, fenders and luggage carrier can really extend the versatility of your Cube bike. We designed mounting points that integrate so neatly with each frame, you'll barely notice they're there - but they also provide a simple, strong and secure attachment for any future upgrades.

Gear and brake cables need a way to get from handlebar controls to frame - but what if there was no need for holes near the head tube? We came up with a design that takes cables into the frame via the headset, maintaining full internal cable routing but making it even neater and less obtrusive.

Our Integrated Seatpost Clamp is all part of our quest to sweat the details, so that you can reap the rewards. Its minimalist design suits the frame's pared-back aesthetic. And, of course, that's important - because why wouldn't you want your bike to look great? But it also saves a few grammes too. And that matters just as much...

In many ways the battery is the heart of an e-bike. That's why, with our Modular Battery System, we've made a setup that's easy to use. You can charge the battery on or off the bike, and we've made room for even high capacity batteries. You'll wonder how you ever managed without it.

The right bike should fit you perfectly. That's why we created SizeSplit. For shorter riders, the smaller 27.5in wheel standard allows us to build frames that fit well while remaining agile and sure-footed. And, for taller riders, we built a range of sizes around the fast-rolling 29er wheel standard. Whichever one you choose, you can be sure of a fit that makes your bike feel as though it was built just for you.

A wider hub makes a stiffer wheel, and a stiffer wheel means better handling. That's the thinking behind the Boost 148 rear hub standard, which allows wider flange spacing for better wheel performance without impacting on shifting accuracy or drivetrain efficiency. Simply put, you can go faster and harder with better handling and stronger wheels.

One standard for all: gear hanger replacement made easy thanks to the innovative Universal Derailleur Hanger. With a design that includes some room for pivoting to help prevent chain jams, it improves shifting performance and works with all drivetrains. Best of all, it's a standard part that is available anywhere.

Gravity Casting moulds liquid aluminium into highly complex frame sections, resulting in extremely strong structures that can better withstand stress. For example, with our Hybrid models we're able to produce a motor mount that's optimised to cope with the loads placed on it in this specialised application, without adding unnecessary weight or sacrificing strength.

CUBE's Aluminium Superlite starts with heat-treated 661 aluminium, which has the qualities - high fatigue resistance, good stiffness, low weight and excellent strength - that are important for a bicycle frame. Then we make it into double butted tubes, to reduce weight without sacrificing any of its strength. The result? Exceptionally light, strong and tough frames.

A bicycle frame is an amazing piece of engineering. And now, with our Smooth Welding technology, we're able to give it the elegant appearance it thoroughly deserves. With no visible weld beads, one tube appears to flow seamlessly into the next.

No-one wants an oily or dirty chain anywhere near their clothes. So, since chains can get oily and dirty over time, we developed the Direct Mount chainguard. It's neat, unobtrusive and helps keep your clothes away from moving parts so that you arrive at your destination clean and fresh.
