The Axial WS's blend of speed and comfort is an ideal introduction to the world of pedal-powered fitness and freedom. Its disc brake setup ensures you can slow and stop safely in any weather conditions. Shimano's 2x8 Claris gears offer a wide range, ease of use and legendary reliability. There's a carbon fork for extra ride comfort, and we chose contact points like the saddle and handlebars carefully so that you can be sure every ride is comfortable from start to finish. Throw in a pair of fast-rolling, grippy Continental Ultra Sport tyres and you're all set.

A fast bike should also be a comfortable bike, and the Axial WS's double-butted aluminium, disc-compatible chassis combines both in a beautifully integrated package. The tapered head tube and cross-ovalised down tube ensure accurate steering and rapid forward progress, while the carbon fork and slender seatstays help filter out road buzz and shock to keep you comfortable for the long haul. There's aluminium, and then there's Cube Aluminium Lite. This heat-treated 6061 aluminium is stiff, fatigue-resistant and, because of its natural corrosion resistance, a great material from which to make lightweight tube sets - and bicycle frames. And it does all this without adding unnecessary weight, so you can get the best enjoyment out of your Cube.

Smooth Welding isn't easy, but worthwhile things usually aren't. It has two advantages. First, and most obviously, it looks great: one tube seems to almost flow into the other. Second, and at least as importantly, it helps to minimise load peaks on welded areas for better frame strength and durability.

Women tend to have slightly different body proportions compared to men, and that can affect bike fit and function. That's why Cube's Women's Series pays particular attention to frame sizing and to details like the saddle, stem and handlebars. Contact points selected specifically to suit a woman's anatomy help add comfort and build confidence, so you can enjoy every ride more.

For those times when you just have to go out and ride in less than ideal weather, fenders can be a huge help. The Attain and Axial series are both designed with frame and fork clearances that are generous enough to fit full length mudguards, so you can stay a little dryer even when the heavens are opening.
