The Crankbrothers Mallet Trail Speed Lace clip-in shoe is the perfect blend of performance and adventure. Engineered for thrill-seekers, this trail-ready shoe is built for rugged durability and all-day comfort—keeping you confident on the trail and comfortable in the saddle during longer rides.
The synthetic upper features a single pull-lace closure system with a lace pocket, along with perforations for airflow and breathability. A TPU-reinforced toe box enhances protection, while a fiber-reinforced nylon shank and aggressive outsole lug pattern provide excellent pedaling efficiency and all-terrain traction.
Crankbrothers innovative Match System ensures optimized engagement with any MTB clip-in system, including Crankbrothers and SPD. The shoes come pre-installed with a Match shim and Crankbrothers cleat in a neutral position—ready to ride straight out of the box.

The premium synthetic upper is constructed from durable, water-resistant materials and perforated for enhanced ventilation. The speed lace closure system with lace pocket ensures a secure and comfortable fit.
Match Box
A ramped cleat box facilitates easy pedal entry and mud shedding. The 35mm extended cleat track supports rearward cleat placement for enhanced control and stability during descents. Cleat box depth is optimized for excellent pedal engagement.
Match Compound
Mid-friction MC1 rubber compound delivers smooth pedal entry and release, long-lasting durability, and reliable grip.
Match Outsole
The Trail-specific tread pattern provides balanced traction for hike-a-bike moments and optimal pedal contact. A stiff fiber-reinforced nylon shank enhances power transfer, while a low-rebound EVA midsole absorbs trail vibrations for added comfort.
Toe Protection
The TPU-reinforced toe box, combined with a wrapped outsole front, delivers vital impact protection on rugged terrain.
