Our most popular gravel tire is designed to handle hardpack, intermediate gravel, and firm to loose dirt – in other words, many of the conditions you might face every day. This is the tire that should be the first choice for races or big rides, only switching if the course is quite wet or rocky with chunky gravel.
This handmade PRO version combines a supple Super Polyester casing with our standard Smart Compound.
Challenge clincher tires are designed for use with tubes and hooked rims.

- Construction: Challenge handmade tires combine comfort, performance, and grip in a way other tires can't match. Our handmade tires are assembled step-by-step by experienced craftspeople. High quality natural glues and latex coatings are applied to ultra-supple casing materials like silk, cotton, or polyester. The result is a small-batch tire with a ride feel that is simply on a different level.
- Series: Everyday Luxury – Our workhorse handmade tire is the PRO series, delivering performance and ride feel unmatched by traditional vulcanized tires. Perfect for the rigors of daily riding.
- Casing: Super Polyesters with higher thread counts of 220-300tpi make up our most affordable handmade casings. Polyester is much softer and stronger then nylon, is impervious to water and quite durable.
- Compound: A tougher and more cut-resistant rubber compound for the demands of gravel and rough terrain. SMARTplus wears longer to keep tread edges sharper, improving confidence over mixed surfaces.
