This mountain bike (MTB) rim is kitted out with a high-quality aluminium construction, which gives it exceptional strength and reliability as you conquer your way around the mountain. Built for long days exploring your favourite trails, this model also benefits from WTB's proprietary 4D spoke drilling that prevents binding and lateral loading of the spokes, while the spoke bed itself has been updated to provide a more compatible interface between the spoke and rim. Thanks to the integration of an updated Solid Strip, this TCS 2.0 rim delivers an easy to mount and reliable tubeless system. As a result, riders will enjoy performance advantages such as the ability to run lower pressures, increased stability and comfort as well as fewer risks of flats or punctures as you weave from trail to trail.

TCS 2.0

TCS 2.0 introduces a more robust, easily installed, and dependable tubeless system. A recessed channel along the center of TCS 2.0 rims allows installation of the all-new Solid Strip, which prevents tubeless tape from sagging at the spoke holes and results in a smooth, consistent interface between the tire and rim. Installation of the stout Solid Strip allows for more pliable, and easy to install, Flex Tape to provide the airtight seal needed for a tubeless system.

I-Beam

The I-Beam adds strength to the inner rim cavity. This distinctive support counteracts spoke loads and provides lateral rigidity.

4D Drilling

The spoke holes are drilled at precise departure angle to align the spoke head and nipple with the hub flange, eliminating binding and lateral loading while also dispersing the load more evenly over a greater area. This prolongs the wheel’s lifespan and increases stability.
