The latest 11-speed SLX derailleur adapts proprietary features and innovations from the higher XT and XTR model derailleurs at a more friendly price point.
Direct mount fitment now offers a little extra space between the mech and frame for easier wheel removal, and to allow innovations such as shorter stays and varying pivot points to move forward in development. It's also now considerably lower in profile to further reduce the chance of trailside hits.
Integrated clutch system can be switched on/off any time to add tension to the derailleur to reduce chain play and excess noise on very rough terrain.
Wide range design now allows upto 46t cassette with a double chainring and a 42t cassette with a single chainring.
