The Magura MT8 SL brake is built for cross country and marathon, where every gram will start to count when the miles go into the double digits. Don't let the super low weight fool you though, it's got a shark-like bite as well as tender modulation to provide immense control, whether you're grinding to an emergency halt or negotiating a snaky descent.
At 195g per unit and fitted with a Carbon brake lever weighing just 12g, that's a pretty impressive weight. A Carbotecture SL master cylinder also reduces the weight further and makes the flip-flop (L/R compatible) lever body very durable.
This brake is sold as a single unit meaning 2x must be purchased for a complete brakeset. Magura also recommend using the Magura Storm SL rotor for optimised braking performance.
