The shape and functionality of the new Ergopower EPS 12-speed stem from meticulous studies carried out to guarantee the most efficient and effective ergonomics possible. The shape of the updated brake lever with its new 12-speed design is the result of painstaking studies into hand ergonomics carried out in the Campy Tech Lab to ensure that, together with positioning of the downshift lever, the cyclist has an intuitive, practical, comfortable "control center". The Ergopower Super Record EPS DB controls incorporate the AMS (Adjustable Modulation System), which allows setting of the desired mode and reach adjustment to position the brake lever an optimum distance from the handlebar.

Multishifting technology, namely the option to change several sprockets with in a single shift is now applied to all the 12-speed cassettes. Cyclists can use the MyCampy app to personalize the new Super Record EPS groupset to shift up or down by a maximum of 11 sprockets with a simple click. Again developed thanks to close collaboration between Campy Tech Lab and pro cyclists sponsored by Campagnolo, Multi-Dome technology has achieved the perfect balance between force used and tactile feedback, allowing cyclists to feel when a gear shifts.

The Ergopower control also offers the cyclist total control over how the transmission works thanks to the MODE button (found immediately behind the downshift lever on both right and left-hand controls). The MODE button lets the cyclist check battery charge, make accurate adjustments to gears or derailleur (even while pedaling) and carry out any kind of diagnostic check.

Technology

One-Lever One-Action

The EPS system Control levers are positioned and act according to the same logic as Campagnolo mechanical gear levers.

    Lever 1 brake

    Lever 2 up-shifting

    Lever 3 down-shifting

Just like the mechanical versions, the levers are natural and intuitive to use. Activating the levers reproduces and follows the movement of the chain on the sprockets.

For example, lever 2 of the right Ergopower, which is pressed from right to left, moves the rear derailleur and makes chain shift up by one sprocket from right to left, copying the exact movement.

Waterproof IP67

The Campagnolo EPS electronic drivetrain complies with IP67 international standards.

This means that the system is able to protect its electronic components from dust and liquid infiltration.

In order to achieve the IP67 classification, all the electronic components of the EPS system underwent a series of tests, which proved their ability to function perfectly under one meter of water for at least 30 minutes.

Ultra-Shift System

The Ultra-Shift control by Campagnolo is regarded by everyone as the fastest and most precise. Thanks to the Ultra-Shift patented system; you can move the chain simultaneously up 3 sprockets and then 5 down.

Furthermore, the lever design allows for an ever lighter shifting, whilst maintaining the "click" sound featured on all Campagnolo controls.

ErgoPower Controls

Ergonomics

The shape of the body conforms to your hands perfectly. The body of the control reproduces exactly the asymmetry of the human hand. This increases the contact with the palm and allows for various riding positions, ensuring maximum safety in all riding positions.

Comfort

The shape allows you to easily reach the levers, regardless of your riding position and the size of your hands.

The studies conducted on the position of cyclists' hands, showed three different steering positions depending on the course and the steering style. Based on these studies, Campagnolo® created the particular and exclusive form of the Ergopower controls that enable you to steer with safety and comfort. The Vari-Cushion system is the shock absorber that envelops the body of the controls. The particular geometry of the hoods made of material of variable density, stretchy and hypoallergenic, absorbs vibrations, enabling you to stay in the saddle for many hours without hand fatigue.

Effective Breaking

The lever's Ultra-Shift shape lets you squeeze the brakes with greater power.

In particular, it allows you to brake powerfully and promptly when the hands are gripping high up. This is a plus that will allow professionals to chat with greater peace of mind before getting on with the serious business.

E-Ergonomy

The shape of the control reproduces the asymmetry of the human hand perfectly, increasing the amount of surface that is in contact with the palm of the hand and allowing you to use different gripping positions with your hands and guarantee maximum safety in all riding positions.

The position of lever 3 has been improved in comparison to the mechanical controls, making it easier to use even when your hands are gripping the lower part of the handlebar. This makes it easier to change gears downhill or when you take the lead or suddenly overtake.

Multi-Dome Technology

A set of aluminium actuators which have been fine tuned through road testing by professional and amateur riders to optimise operating force. Being able to feel the exact instant when they shift with the rear or front derailleur is crucial for a rider.

With this technology, Campagnolo has achieved the perfect "click feeling", which also prevents unintentional shifts.

Features

  • Comfortable Support: The controls offer good, safe grip when standing pedalling or when leaning high on the handlebars
  • Quick Shifting: The front and rear derailleurs can be shifted with minimum effort and from any position on the handlebars
  • Multi-Shifting: An unexpected climb, a sudden sprint: instantly finding the right combination takes no time at all thanks to the multiple action of the controls
  • Ergonomics: Shaped cushioning and an adjustable brake lever make these controls perfect for any cyclist, regardless of hand size

Specification

  • Weight: 381g (Ergo Pair)
