Castelli PR Speedsuit

The PR Speed Suit utilises everything Castelli knows to create the fastest long-distance tri suit possible. Testament to its capability, the suit set a new course record in its first race with Cameron Wurf at Kona.

The origins of the Castelli PR Speed Suit extend back to 016 when Castelli started its research into aerodynamics with the Norwegian Technical University in Trondheim, Norway. Working with the University's Professors and PhD students, and utilising its wind tunnels, CFD analysis, and rapid prototyping facilities, Castelli developed the Team Sky TT suit that the UCI banned for its performance enhancing properties.

This formed the basis for the PR Speed Suit, which because it is intended for triathlon can be more advantageous than any suit allowed by the UCI.

Silicone ribs on the sleeves induce turbulence to reduce drag on one of the most exposed parts of the body. The legs and sleeves are cut long for aerodynamics.

The main body is made from a 50-denier upper-body fabric, creating a lightweight and smooth fabric that further aids aerodynamics. For context, usually in sports 40-denier is considered ultrafine. The fabric is light enough not to get weighed down by moisture and to fit comfortably under a swimskin or wetsuit. The 8% Lycra content holds some moisture next to your skin creating a cooling effect. The high stretch means the suit feels like a second skin on the bike and doesn't restrict while running or swimming.

The KISS Tri pad provides enough comfort while cycling but is thin enough to not cause bother when running.
