About Chris King
Based in Portland Oregon, Chris King is an independent in-house manufacturer of arguably most desirable bicycle components on the market. Precision CNC machining and high tolerance bearings can be found on all of their headsets, bottom brackets and hubs. Why We Make It
We build bearings, so we build bottom brackets. The humble threaded bottom bracket is often the first part installed on a new frame, and the last one the rider thinks about during the life of the bike, but the bottom bracket has a direct effect on pedaling efficiency (read: speed). This is where you put your power into the bike. Having the absolute best interface between your effort and your bike’s forward momentum makes your ride better. The Threadfit™ 30 is how we make bikes that take 30mm cranks the best they can be.

Our ThreadFit™ 30 bottom bracket is silky smooth and long-lasting thanks to our legendary, angular-contact bearings, both steel and ceramic, the best in the industry. They actually get faster over time as their contact surfaces wear, because we build them to ultra-tight aerospace tolerances, using machined, Delrin-spindle sleeves to create a perfect, and precise fit between cranks and frame. That’s where the low drag and butter smooth feel come from.
