In 1990, Max Brauns was driven by a passion for hand-crafted performance tyres and moved to Thailand, where the World's best natural rubber (rather than artificially-produced petroleum-based rubber) could be sourced. In 2000, Challengetech was born.

The Strada is Challenges go-to champion for efficiency and sublime road feel. This high performance tyre combines a supple rounded profile that takes the sting out of rough pavement with a construction that provides maximum control and very low rolling resistance.
This Handmade PRO version combines a supple Super Polyester casing with their SMARTprime tread compound, their fastest rubber yet.
Challenge clincher tyres are designed for use with tubes and hooked rims.

- Construction: Handmade: Challenge handmade tyres combine comfort, performance, and grip in a way other tyres can't match. Their handmade tyres are assembled step-by-step by experienced craftspeople. High quality natural glues and latex coatings are applied to ultra-supple casing materials like silk, cotton, or polyester. The result is a small-batch tyre with a ride feel that is simply on a different level
- Series: PRO: Everyday Luxury this workhorse handmade tyre is the PRO series, delivering performance and ride feel unmatched by traditional vulcanised tyres. Perfect for the rigors of daily riding
- Casing: Super Polyester 220TPI: Super Polyesters with higher thread counts of 220-300tpi make up their most affordable handmade casings. Polyester is much softer and stronger then nylon, is impervious to water and quite durable
- Compound: SMART PRIME: Delivers lower rolling resistance than their basic SMART compound without sacrificing traction or durability. SMARTprime rubber compound forms the basis of their fastest road tyres yet
- Puncture Protection: PPS Ganzo: PPS Ganzo is the ultimate single-layer puncture-protection fabric. PPS Ganzo offers greater security while maintaining low weight and rolling resistance
