Hydraulic Optimised (HO) ensures that there is perfect compatibility with hydraulic components.
The Potenza HO (Hydraulic Optimised) Chainset from Campagnolo is made from hollow forged aluminium that offers high performance at an incredibly low weight.
It features the iconic 4-arm design of the higher tier Campagnolo groupsets and a single BCD across all chainrings so they can be easily swapped. Also, the left crank now includes a built-in extractor, so there is no longer a need for a purpose-built tool to remove the cranks.
Technology
Ultra-Torque System
Six years after its introduction, this system is still considered the best performing crankset spindle in terms of stiffness, low weight and efficiency of power transmission. Campagnolo found a way to permanently conjoin the semi-axles of the bottom bracket to the respective crankset arms. This redesign made it possible to considerably reduce the lateral dimensions at the axle level and prevent annoying contact with the ankles when turning the pedals. Furthermore, despite the narrow side profile, Campagnolo has been able to position the bearings outside the bottom bracket shell, resulting in greater axle rigidity from the increased axle diameter.
Road & Gravel Bike Ready
This HO version has been optimised for use on disc brake frames that have 142mm dropouts. Its slightly modified chainline ensures excellent precision for these frame types and without altering the Q-factor. Despite this slightly different chainline, it can also be used on rim brake bikes too, should you need to swap the chainset onto a different bike.
