There are times when only the best will do. Shimano's Ultegra 2 x 11 gears are trusted by racers the world over, so that's what we chose for our Nulane SLX. With its light frame, carbon fork, rack and mudguard mounting points and dependable hydraulic disc brakes, it's the fast, versatile and practical all-rounder you've been looking for.

How do you build a bike that's as efficient as a road race bike and as adaptable as a tourer? Start with our Nulane frame and add a full carbon fork. Throw in Shimano's peerless Ultegra 2 x 11 transmission, for a huge range of gears at your fingertips. Add the versatility of a full set of accessory mounts, so your Nulane SLX can segue neatly between commuter, explorer and tourer. And finish off with powerful, progressive Shimano flat mount hydraulic disc brakes for superb stopping power in all weathers. It's everything you need, and nothing that you don't.

Versatile can be fast, and fast can be versatile, too. That's why, with the Nulane frame, we added mounting points for easy mudguard and carrier upgrades. There are even lowrider rack points on the full carbon fork, so it's practical as well as comfortable. Superlite double-butted aluminium frame tubes keep the weight down. We added flat mount disc attachment points for sleek looks and the best stopping performance. And finished off with thru axles front and rear to ensure safe and predictable handling, laden or unladen.

Features

Cube's Aluminium Superlite starts with heat-treated 6061 aluminium, which has the qualities - high fatigue resistance, good stiffness, low weight and excellent strength - that are important for a bicycle frame. Then we make it into double butted tubes, to reduce weight without sacrificing any of its strength. The result? Exceptionally light, strong and tough frames.

A gravel bike is a supremely versatile beast, which is why all our gravel models have a fender and rack option. With generous frame clearances to fit comfortable, safe and grippy tyres even with full length mudguards, we also neatly integrated the rear rack into the mudguard design - and included a rear light, too.

Combining everything we know about building great-riding off-road bikes, Gravel Comfort Geometry is the secret ingredient that makes our gravel series such a blast to ride. Nimble enough to mix it up in the rough, stable enough for reassuring descents and with comfort for the long haul, we've got it all covered.
