Makki has been designed with input from parents and children as the starting point. As a result, the Makki is no ordinary electric cargo bike, rather it is a cargo bike you and your children will derive a great deal of enjoyment from every time you use it. Safety and comfort have been given complete attention, for you and the kids. With a well-thought-out package of accessories you can dare to replace your second car with a Makki. The front bench, the Maxi Cosi adapter, the adapter for a child seat and the storage drawer mean you can take everything with you. And the rain hood and cover protect you against all weathers.

High box

The Makki has a high box. A number of children can be very easily transported at the same time in this. The high construction increases the safety while cycling. The recess in the middle of the box and the step allows children to easily get on and off. This provides extra convenience. The box is made from impact-resistant EPP and enhances the Makki's durability.

Innovative stand

If you want to cycle off on the Makki, you first have to release the stand. No hard pushing or pulling is required: the stand is released with a simple foot movement. This is easy even if the box is full. Once you arrive at your destination, it is simple to then fold out the stand. Thanks to the twin-leg structure, the bike is very stable when parked.

Accessories package

Gazelle provides the Makki with a fine package of handy accessories. This makes the cargo bike a more than suitable replacement for a second car. The front bench set, the car seat adapter, the adapter for a child seat and the storage drawer means you can take everything and everyone with you. The rain hood and cover protects the passengers and things in the box against all weather conditions.

How Does An Electric Bike Work?

An electric system consists of a number of main components:

Battery: Integrated into the luggage carrier or located behind the seat tube (depending on the model)
Motor: Built into the frame at the bottom bracket or in the front wheel
Display: Fitted on the handlebar
Sensors: Every electric system has a speed sensor, which as its name suggests, measures how fast the bike is being ridden. In addition, riding behaviour is determined by a rotation sensor or a pedal force sensor depending on the model. The Impulse system in addition has a fourth sensor, namely the shift sensor. This sensor cuts out assistance for a quarter of a second while you are shifting which enables you to keep on pedalling while shifting.

Together the sensors determine the amount assistance provided by the motor based on your assistance level setting and the pedal force you are applying. You set the assistance level yourself using the handlebar grip control.
