Unblock the city's streets with the Kathmandu Hybrid 45 75. With Bosch power, reliable components and a Cube frame design that seamlessly blends comfort, style and practicality, it's the speed pedelec that'll reignite your passion for urban living. When two wheels are this good, who needs four?

Speed pedelecs re-write the rules of urban mobility, but the Kathmandu Hybrid 45 goes further by re-writing the rules for speed pedelecs. A fourth-generation Bosch Performance Line Speed motor serves up 85Nm of torque and, combined with a 75Wh battery, puts the world at your feet. The combined power of motor, legs and lungs is transferred to the road via Shimano's new, 1-speed Linkglide transmission and an oversize 48 Tooth chainring. The Suntour Mobie45 air suspension fork smooths your passage on even rough city streets, while powerful Magura hydraulic disc brakes ensure you can always slow down and stop safely, whatever the weather. We fitted comfortable and grippy Marathon E-Plus tyres in a 55mm width, plus full-length mudguards and a practical kickstand. And, of course, the sturdy Integrated Carrier IC 3. and included lighting system means you're all set for any journey, any time.

Designed for comfort, versatility and durability, the Kathmandu Hybrid 45's frame incorporates a high-capacity Bosch battery for the best possible range. Efficient Comfort Geometry works exactly the way you'd expect it to, meaning you can pedal in comfort for miles and miles. The Integrated Carrier 3. is super-strong and stable as well as being integrated with the rear mudguard for an elegantly understated look that you'll love. It's the perfect way to add accessories and carry whatever you need with you. And it's all safety-tested in our own in-house lab to the highest standards, so you know you're in safe hands.

Features

The Fully Integrated Battery system tucks the power of Bosch's battery out of sight, safely inside the confines of your bike's downtube. Hidden beneath a splash and dust-proof cover and secured with a lock to prevent theft, it allows us to design beautiful E-Bike frames that are as brilliantly functional as they are good to look at.

Gear and brake cables need a way to get from handlebar controls to frame - but what if there was no need for holes near the head tube? We came up with a design that takes cables into the frame via the headset, maintaining full internal cable routing but making it even neater and less obtrusive.

The Integrated Carrier 3. is the next level in system integration: from the side, it's hard to tell where the luggage carrier ends and the mudguard begins. But it doesn't just look good, it's also incredibly strong and rigid. With an integrated spring clamp and Cube Rilink ready adaptor for mounting bags and baskets, it transforms your Cube into an adaptable and versatile load carrier.

A wider hub makes a stiffer wheel, and a stiffer wheel means better handling. That's the thinking behind the Boost 148 rear hub standard, which allows wider flange spacing for better wheel performance without impacting on shifting accuracy or drivetrain efficiency. Simply put, you can go faster and harder with better handling and stronger wheels.

Gravity Casting moulds liquid aluminium into highly complex frame sections, resulting in extremely strong structures that can better withstand stress. For example, with our Hybrid models we're able to produce a motor mount that's optimised to cope with the loads placed on it in this specialised application, without adding unnecessary weight or sacrificing strength.
