Can a tough, versatile bike still use the latest tech? We definitely think it can - and here's the proof. The Nuroad C:62 SLX's full carbon frame and fork is ideally matched to Sram's Eagle Transmission technology for lightweight, lively, adaptable and rugged adventures off the beaten track.
Form and function combine perfectly in the Nuroad C:62 SLX. Built to handle adventure in comfort and style, it's the lightweight and versatile carbon gravel bike you've been waiting for. Sram's slick, precise XX SL Eagle 1x12 Transmission serves up flawless electronic ratio selection, shift after shift after shift. Powerful SRAM Force AXS hydraulic disc brakes give you the power you need to control your speed safely, laden or unladen. And Newmen Advanced SL X.R.25 carbon wheels shod with 45mm Schwalbe tyres and Aerothan tubes bring rapid acceleration and unrivalled strength to the party. Where will it take you next?
The Nuroad C:62 frame takes everything we know about carbon gravel frames and takes it up a notch. We increased tyre clearance up to 5mm (45mm with mudguards). There's an integrated seat clamp and semi-integrated cable routing to complement the frame's elegant, organic appearance. It's UDH-ready, for versatility and future-proofing. The C:62 carbon fork has two carrier mounting positions. And the frame weight for all this practical innovation? Just 1,15g for a mid-sized frame. So it's tough, but also extremely light. That's versatility, redefined for a new era of gravel exploration.
Features
Not all carbon is created equal. With our C:62 carbon we increased the high modulus fibre content, then we reinforced the resulting material with nanoparticles incorporated into the bonding resin. Which is all just a fancy way of saying it's extremely strong, light and durable.
Gear and brake cables need a way to get from handlebar controls to frame - but what if there was no need for holes near the head tube? We came up with a design that takes cables into the frame via the headset, maintaining full internal cable routing but making it even neater and less obtrusive.
Our Integrated Seatpost Clamp is all part of our quest to sweat the details, so that you can reap the rewards. Its minimalist design suits the frame's pared-back aesthetic. And, of course, that's important - because why wouldn't you want your bike to look great? But it also saves a few grammes too. And that matters just as much...
It's the little details that make the difference. With the option to easily fit full length mudguards, a luggage rack and kickstand you can make your bike that little bit more versatile and easier to live with. Wet roads, stuff to carry or nowhere to lean your bike up when you arrive? No problem - we've got it covered.
Adventure sometimes demands different kit. That's where our low rider rack mounts come in. Designed to accept an optional fork rack, they're a great way to carry up to 1kg of additional weight for extended tours. Not only that but carrying some of your luggage over the front wheel helps improve weight distribution and handling. Win, win.
For gravel epics - or races - into the back country and beyond, our Gravel Endurance Geometry is designed with you in mind. With a ride position optimised for long days in the saddle and frame angles and dimensions geared towards the perfect balance of agility and stability, it's all you need for off-road adventure.
With our Advanced Twin Mold process we use two precisely manufactured forms for our C:62, C:68 and C:68X carbon frames. The first form is to ensure an accurate layup. The second, inner form keeps every individual fibre precisely where it needs to be while the frame cures. The result is a significantly lighter, stronger frame, with fibre density tailored to anticipated loadings at specific points.
Because the Nuroad C:62 is built for adventure, we added a third bottle cage mount under the down tube. Use it for carrying tools and a spare inner tube, or carry another water bottle - the choice is yours. Either way, you're all set for extended exploring.
Rough roads and tracks shake everything up. To keep everything where it should be and avoid the hassle of a dropped chain, we fitted the Nuroad C:62 with a chain guide for a 1x transmission. Because it's purpose-designed for the job, there's almost no way to shake the chain off the chainring... so you can concentrate on the riding.
