Adventure is what you make it, and the Kathmandu Hybrid ONE 8 from Cube is ready whenever you are. With its 8 Wh PowerTube battery and powerful Bosch CX drive, you've up to 85 Nm of pedalling assistance at your disposal. Combined with the easy shifting and wide range of Shimano's Cues 1 x 1 gears, it's more than enough to take on any route with ease. The Suntour air suspension fork, suspension seatpost and adjustable stem are all there to make even long days in the saddle enjoyable. Strong, dependable Shimano hydraulic disc brakes give you safe stopping in all weathers. And a full complement of accessories, including lights and mudguards to accompany our Integrated Carrier 3., means you're ready for anything.

The Cube Kathmandu Hybrid's design is classically elegant - familiar, even - but it's stuffed full of innovation and clever touches. The neatly housed Bosch CX drive and 8 Wh PowerTube battery are just the start. Efficient Comfort Geometry is designed around a 1mm travel suspension fork, for better control even when the going gets rough. Integrated cables complement the frame's clean lines and help reduce the need for maintenance, while a UDH dropout is tough, versatile and future-proof. And, of course, there's an integrated chainguard mount and our tough, sturdy and exceptionally neat Integrated Carrier 3., so you can carry everything you need for your adventures.

Features

The Fully Integrated Battery system tucks the power of Bosch's battery out of sight, safely inside the confines of your bike's downtube. Hidden beneath a splash and dust-proof cover and secured with a lock to prevent theft, it allows us to design beautiful E-Bike frames that are as brilliantly functional as they are good to look at.

Our Integrated Seatpost Clamp is all part of our quest to sweat the details, so that you can reap the rewards. Its minimalist design suits the frame's pared-back aesthetic. And, of course, that's important - because why wouldn't you want your bike to look great? But it also saves a few grammes too. And that matters just as much...

The Integrated Carrier 3. is the next level in system integration: from the side, it's hard to tell where the luggage carrier ends and the mudguard begins. But it doesn't just look good, it's also incredibly strong and rigid. With an integrated spring clamp and Cube Rilink ready adaptor for mounting bags and baskets, it transforms your Cube into an adaptable and versatile load carrier.

In many ways the battery is the heart of an e-bike. That's why, with our Modular Battery System, we've made a setup that's easy to use. You can charge the battery on or off the bike, and we've made room for even high capacity batteries. You'll wonder how you ever managed without it.

A wider hub makes a stiffer wheel, and a stiffer wheel means better handling. That's the thinking behind the Boost 148 rear hub standard, which allows wider flange spacing for better wheel performance without impacting on shifting accuracy or drivetrain efficiency. Simply put, you can go faster and harder with better handling and stronger wheels.

Cables connect your handlebar controls to vital components like gears and brakes, but there's no need for them to get in your way. With Internal Cable Routing we've reduced clutter and maintenance by running cables through the frame, keeping them out of the way of dust and water contamination - or damage from abrasion - as well as cleaning up your bike's appearance.

Carrying your belongings, shopping or work bag just got a little easier. Our new HIC (Headset Integrated Carrier) fits simply, neatly and very securely on the front of your Cube bike to add accessible, stable and versatile load-carrying capacity. With the ability to safely accommodate a Eurobox of 3mm x 4mm, up to 2kg in weight and RILink accessories, you'll wonder how you managed without.

One standard for all: gear hanger replacement made easy thanks to the innovative Universal Derailleur Hanger. With a design that includes some room for pivoting to help prevent chain jams, it improves shifting performance and works with all drivetrains. Best of all, it's a standard part that is available anywhere.

Gravity Casting moulds liquid aluminium into highly complex frame sections, resulting in extremely strong structures that can better withstand stress. For example, with our Hybrid models we're able to produce a motor mount that's optimised to cope with the loads placed on it in this specialised application, without adding unnecessary weight or sacrificing strength.

CUBE's Aluminium Superlite starts with heat-treated 661 aluminium, which has the qualities - high fatigue resistance, good stiffness, low weight and excellent strength - that are important for a bicycle frame. Then we make it into double butted tubes, to reduce weight without sacrificing any of its strength. The result? Exceptionally light, strong and tough frames.

A bicycle frame is an amazing piece of engineering. And now, with our Smooth Welding technology, we're able to give it the elegant appearance it thoroughly deserves. With no visible weld beads, one tube appears to flow seamlessly into the next.
