With a honed 27.5mm internal width, Gravitas wheels offer tyres large sidewall support, while remaining narrow enough to avoid unnecessary rock collisions.

Using our tried and tested asymmetric design we have equalised spoke tensions and built a package that dominates descents, whilst cutting down on bulk where it isn’t needed. To compensate for the differences in wall length and strength of an asymmetric design, the wall thicknesses have been proportioned to balance out impact forces equally. The Gravitas offers offset wheel benefits, without compromise.

At the core of these Gravitas wheels are our all-new instantaneous 120 point pick-up MTC Supadrive Boost and MTC Front Boost hubs, with sealed bearings and super-wide spaced flanges for increased stiffness and durability.

100% hand-built and pre-fitted with tubeless tape, Gravitas wheels are tubeless-ready from the box.

Technology

Perfected Volume

We chose a 27.5mm internal rim width. This width offers ample sidewall support whilst being narrow enough to avoid unnecessary rock collisions. This is the Goldilocks of downhill rim widths.

Combine this with some tubeless-ready tyres and you'll find a level of grip that's just right. Gravitas wheels come pre-taped so that tubeless set ups are easy.

E-Bike Ready

Asymmetric rim design and Supadrive pawls mean these wheels cope well with the demands of e-bikes.

With our latest versions of the MT and MTC Supadrive hubs we have increased stiffness and reduced flex with a heat treated, hollow Cro-Mo Steel axle for maximum power transfer and reliability.

Utilising a wedge pawl mechanism the Supadrive system withstands incredible torque loads. Featuring 12 micro teeth per pawl, drive is transferred efficiently through a dramatically increased surface area into the 120 point drive ring.
