Feel The Unreal
For the rider that needs a bit more than aset it and forget itplatform, this is DVO's new Prime Series. Externally adjustable high and low speed compression adjust give you full control over the ride feel of your shock. From professional enduro races, to local PR conquests, the new Prime series excels across disciplines and terrains. Enduro, trail, and E-Bikes alike benefit from the maximum adjustability and controlled nature of the Prime Compression circuit.
After hundreds of hours between trail testing and dyno runs, DVO has fine-tuned DVO's piston & shim settings to deliver excellent adjustability without any harshness. DVO also worked to reduce adjustment overlap, meaning the adjusters have far less effect on each other offering you precise control over the ride feel.
Technology
Prime Compression Circuit
The all new Prime Compression circuit was designed to offer externally adjustable high/low compression to the Topaz and Jade X series. It's an all new system meticulously tuned to offer incredible adjustment range and control.
After hundreds of hours between trail testing and dyno runs, we’ve fine-tuned DVO's piston & shim settings to deliver excellent adjustability without any harshness created by hydro locking (when piston ports are too small to handle high oil velocities). The hydraulic system is pressure balanced to avoid cavitation which can severely affect the damping quality. DVO also worked to reduce adjustment overlap, meaning the adjusters have far less effect on each other offering you precise control over the ride feel.
Adjustable Bladder
Fully adjustable with a wider tuning range. The air bladder system has been refined with an updated bladder material, end cap seal, and valve core. These small changes allow the use of reduced air pressure in the system, which in turn reduces pressure loss and offers an increased adjustment range. Changing the pressure in the bladder changes the overall feel of the shock to suit your riding style.
As shown in the graph, changing the pressure in the bladder changes the overall feel and performance fo the shock to suit your riding style.
Higher Pressure:
Increasing pressure creates a supportive feel and increased progression. The shock will also be more consistent in its performance, so if riding longer descents, opt for a higher pressure. Additionally, heavier riders wil also benefit from a higher pressure.
Lower Pressure:
Reducing the pressure will provide an ultra-supple feel but with less support. The wheel will track the ground and small bump sensitivity will be epic. The trade off? The shock's consistency can suffer during extended descents. Therefore, opt for lower pressure settings on shorter runs where traction and comfort are vital. Lighter riders will generally benefit from a lower bladder pressure.
Oversized Seal Head
To combat side-loading from frame flex in big hit situations, DVO oversized the seal head, inner shaft, and bushings to ensure smooth action from the shock in any situation.
Features
- Adjustable Positive and Negative air volume via spacers (included)
- The air bladder system has been refined with an updated bladder material, end cap seal, and valve core. These small changes allow the use of reduced air pressure in the system, which in turn reduces pressure loss
- Updated bushings in the air can deliver exceptional sealing, and an improvement in the dispersion of lateral loads on the shock
- The Gen 3 sealhead uses a new sized bushing, which delivers better sealing and alignment properties, while simultaneously offering more consistent and longer performance life
- Updated ergonomic rebound adjuster
