Features

System Optimisation: The frameset, wheels, cockpit and other parts are engineered, developed and tested together to perform best as a system. The all-new OverDrive Aero steerer tube technology is combined with a Contact SLR AeroLight stem and Contact SLR handlebar to incorporate internal cable routing that also integrates the top cap, cables and spacers in a more aerodynamic, user-friendly setup

Winning Efficiency: Featuring a greater stiffness-to-weight ratio than the previous generation, along with new aero tube shaping and a lighter overall weight, this uncompromising race bike delivers explosive acceleration and unyielding pedalling stiffness. The result is race-winning performance in the moments that count.

Integrated Aerodynamics: From the truncated ellipse shape of frameset tubing to a new cockpit design and component integration, it all adds up to a more streamlined profile that helps give the flagship TCR Advanced SL 0 model a 4.19-watt advantage over the previous generation.

Technologies

Advanced SL Composite Technology: Professional Grade raw carbon fiber is woven in our composite factory to produce our lightest, stiffest and highest quality frames. This is the technology used by Giant's pro racers in almost every cycling discipline.
Compact Road Design: Introduced by Giant with the professional Team ONCE in the 1990s, Compact Road revolutionized the look and feel of high-performance road bikes forever. A downward sloping toptube (from the headtube to the seattube) creates smaller front and rear triangles for a lighter, stiffer bike. It also makes it easier for riders of all sizes to have a perfect fit.
Over Drive Aero: Found inside the head tube of the Defy, Propel and TCR ranges, the D-shaped fork steerer tube and corresponding spacers provide an extremely aerodynamic, easier to service system of internally routed brake and derailleur cables.
Tubeless System: Fewer flat tires. Greater traction. Less rolling resistance and a smoother, faster ride. Giant's Tubeless System makes it easier than ever to experience all these benefits.
Power Core: A massively oversized bottom-bracket/chainstay area features a fully integrated, 86-millimeter wide bottom-bracket design (92-millimeter wide for off-road bikes). Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.
Integrated Seatpost: Designed as a key performance factor in the overall frameset, the integrated seatpost saves up to 40 grams compared to standard composite posts, while improving aerodynamics and adding road-smoothing compliance.
