More Information

An individual by the name of Harry Bickerton invented the world's first folding bicycle in 1971 for efficient multi-mode commuting. The sinple yet effective hinged frame has been used from the outset, and has since been adapted into various versions by other folding bike manufacturers. The true original hinged folding bike.

Bickerton Pilot 1407 Folding Bike

The Bickerton Pilot 1407 is a stylish and very well made folding bike. The lightweight, strong aluminium frame has a reliable folding mechanism which is quick and easy to operate. 16-inch wheels make the bike feel nippy, but not unstable and are large enough to get up to a good speed. Rear pannier rack for carrying your luggage comes with bungee straps. Finished off with brown saddle and brown ergo grips for a vintage look.
